I just noticed that my two-year old cat's eye is watering. She was sick a month ago, vomiting all day and was hiding under the bed all day. I gave her Laxatone and she was getting better, but she has lost her voice since. When she meows, I could only hear air coming out of her mouth. I am not sure if one has anything to do with the other, but her right eye is watering for three days now. It looks normal in size and color, and she has been eating, playing normal, and her vowel movement is fine too. The tear is clear and she does cough/sneeze? once in a while. It doesn't seem to hurt her when I touch the eye to wipe the tears. I do not let her or my other cat outside.

Is this a condition that will go away soon? Or do I have to take her to the vet? Is there anything I can do at home? I was recently laid off and cannot afford the vet visit. I am hoping that there is a way to take care of her at home. Please help.

Could be a URI or other infection . . . if it were me I'd find a way to take her to the vet, if nothing else to get her some medications like antibiotic eye ointment to prevent further badness.
