My female cat has been peeing on towels, bags, clothes, etc. since we got 2 female kittens that are about 4 1/2 months old. She's about a year old, we've had her for about 13 months now. She's an indoor cat and my mom is threatening to make her an outside cat if she doesn't stop. She's not fixed or anything, how do I prevent her from peeing on stuff? Please help!

this is hard. it is also not fair to move the cat you already had outside because of two new ones. I would make sure that you original cat has her own area with litterbox and food and water to call her own. You will have to try to keep things up off the floor and some doors closed until she gets used to the new members. Make sure she gets the same if not more attention like before the newbies. I had a cat until she was 20. I got her when she was 9 because she was going to be put to sleep from peeing on stuff. I learned to keep all laundry, purses ect. off the floor. Had to make /teach my hubby also. Make sure the litter box is clean everyday too. some cats can be picky especially if they smell another cats feces/urine. That is the only advice I have other than getting her spayed. Which I am all for. good luck!

You should take your cat, along with a urine sample if you can catch one, to the vet. UTI's, or urinary tract infections, might also cause this behavior.
