Male dog aggresive over owner, please help

I have 2 chihuahuas mixed, one spayed female that is almost 5 years old and the intact male is 2 years old, the male is always trying to get the female attention, for him to hump her. He will cry and watch over her when she is sleeping, he has overprotective thing over her and he is also possesive of her, as soon as i get close to her he will growl and get mad, he would do this to his food to as soon as i get close to the bowl, he is also very possesive over my husband, as soon as i get close to him he will grab my arm really hard and make eye contact with me, growling, and if my husband tries to get his attention and get him away from me, he'll even get pissed off and do it even more. I want to know why he is like this to me, if im the one that feeds them, take them out to potty, and basically take care of them for everything. He has another problem, last night he was whining and wouldn't go to sleep till' 4 in the morning, this has been going on for 4 weeks already and he wont stop. He will cry during the day also, for apparently no reason. I dont know whats wrong with him please help.
