If your dog goes into the pond then you should at least rinse him off with the hose or something to get the bacteria and algea off. That might be causing or making the rash worse. Keeping him out of the pond is the best thing right now though. when there is a moist rash washing every day is not a problem. If it is a dry rash then everyother day is ok. Now if this doesn't help with in a few weeks then the baths are not helping and you need to go see your vet. It might turned into an infection. If the rash is dry you can try to put neosporin on the worst spots. If it is a wet rash you can put on the powder once a day and see how that works. If there is any itching you can try the benadryl. good luck. has it gotten any better yet? rashes in people and animals can take up to two weeks to go away.

It seems to be getting better. The rash is now a light brown color which i believe is the begining of a scab. All of the red has left and the affected area has lessened. After it has completely healed I plan on taking her back into the water however I will be finding a different water source since it seems like the original one had a significant amount of algea in it. I will definately be rinsing her off afterwards, that never crossed my mind prior to this, thank you.
