My dog has "cherry eye". Is this an allergy? Can it be treated with Benadryl? If so, how often and how much should I give him? He weighs 27 lbs. Sometimes it's really large, then it subsides and even disappears, but always comes back.

u should prob take him to the vet. i don't think Bendryl will cure it. Cherry eye is a swollen gland in the eye. Sometimes the vet recommends takeing the gland out surgically, which is safe. It also depends on how bad it is.
