I have a 29 year old gelding who is very arthritic. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that he was leaking urine as he was walking along. I tried to observe him urinating, but was not able. He is pasture kept with a run in shed. I must also add that although I have had him since he was born, he is almost impossible to catch. Anyway, I finally observed him the other day. His penis no longer extends to urinate, and I noticed that it does not seem to even be down in the sheath. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I think it`s normal (well, really not, but..), that your oldie has some problems. It could, still, get quite nasty, cause hes probably urinating on his legs and eventually, the skin could get damaged...but let the vet check him!
