Did your pet ever win the contest?

My friend recently entered her cute pup into contest, which supposedly was "Cutest Dog Contest", but we soon realized that it's probably the most difficult thing to win (even if you do have a pet who sure at least deserves a shot at this). It's all about who generates more traffic & voters.
   
I'm curious if anyone here ever tried contests like that and won? And if you can give some insight. Or if you know some more "honest" contest where the contest is all about what it states.
