I had to have my boston terrier put to sleep this past tuesday. She was right at 16 years old. I feel like i am dying inside. She was a wonderful loving pet. I can't quit crying. All i do is think of her. I have never had to do this before. I miss her so much. I could tell she was miserable. I came home and she was in respiratory distress. I know it was time to let her go and i know she is at peace now but i am hurting so bad. I did not know this could hurt so much but she was like a child to me. Someone please help me !! Mary

putting her to sleep was the last kind thing you could do for her. Perhaps this will help you http://www.pet-loss.net/

Mary, I know just how you feel I lost my boston terrier the middle of Mar. he was only 9 he just started panting & fell over it was a sudden death. I cannot tell you how many tears I cried, you just feel like their is a hole in your heart & a funny feeling in your stomache. Your dog was probably suffering & I am sure you did not want to see that, you did the right thing. I am sure she had a wonderful life with you.
