Snake shedding

COULD I USE LAVA ROCKS TO HELP A LITTLE CA KING SNAKE SHED?

Any items in the tank at all will aid the snake with shedding its stink, this also includes the sides of the tank and the substrate that they are on. For my cali king I have a fake rock hide out that he often rubs on along with some hampster wood tunnels that are rough on the outside but dont splinter along with other 'toys' in the tank.

i placed a plastic pot and cut a space out so that it can hide in. i looked at its eyes one day and they were normal color. i looked in the cage and couldnt find the shed. couple days later i saw the shed wrapped around the pot.
