My gerbil has light red spots on her back!

My gerbil has light red spots all over her back. I haven't seen her fight with my other gerbil, but i have seen her scratching herself alot. She seems fine, but those spots bug me. Ive looked in the areas where the red is but i cant find any sctratches or scabs. I'm just wondering if anybody has any idea of what this might be. Thank you.

She could have mites. They would make her scratch herself until she scabs.

Well, also, they had pine bedding which i found out could be the cause of it...
