gerbil tank cleaner

Empty the cage/tank entirely. Change the litter when it smells like a gerbil. Use the gray fluffy small animal bedding, it's best at odor & moisture control; don't use cedar shavings.
Use Simple Green to clean the cage. It's safe, biodegradable, available everywhere, smells pleasant, you don't have to rinse the cage after you wipe it down, & it's useful around the house for greasy surfaces. You don't have to spend money on special cage cleaners.
