Coat Type, Color & Grooming: Once bred only for its
white coat, the Turkish Angora now
includes several different varieties of
coloring:
Solid
colors: Include black, blue, cream,
and orange.
Bi-color: Predominantly white with
patches of one other color.
Tortoiseshell or Calico: A patchy
pattern made up of three or more distinct
colors (usually black, orange, and
cream/white).
Tabby: A darker stripy pattern on a
lighter background color; found in silver,
orange, brown, blue, or cream.
Nose and
paw pad colors usually correspond to
predominant coat color, varying from pink
to black.
Physical Attributes: Small to medium in size; long, graceful torso; hind legs higher than front legs; small to medium-sized, wedge-shaped face with large, tufted ears and large, almond-shaped eyes; long, full tail; fine, medium-long coat with long ruff around neck.
Personality: Intelligent and responsive; easily trained; good hunter; loves water.
