Sophie was the world's best cat. She owned us from 6 weeks to 15 years. She was the most intelligent animal and learned to come for a pill and present herself rear first to help the process of popping it down her throat. For 15 years she survived a heart murmur but eventually succumbed to several cancers and complete sudden blindness. We could not let her suffer the confusion and shakiness which followed. But to the end she still enjoyed to be cuddled.
Always an interactive cat Sophie talked and chattered at bedtime, mealtimes and especially if we were late home for tea.
Sophie would always join us in the sitting room in the evening positioning herself around my neck and washing my ear. After breakfast she woul jump onto my knees and help me read the paper at the dining table. We never passed each other without a shared greeting of some kind. We miss her tremendously she was everywhere now we hope she is somewhere enjoyable. She gave us so much and can never be replaced
