My Rusty Bear, I miss you so much already. I miss you meeting me at the door everyday. I miss having to step over you to get out of my bed. I miss you begging me for food. I miss your demanding barks when you wanted something. I never thought I could miss you so much. You were so special. Who is going to take my socks off now?
But, I couldn't keep you here for me. You were in pain and could not get better. I know that and I had to let you go. Be pain free my darling. I will see you again and can't wait to feel your nose on my cheek. The memories you gave me and love will stay in my heart forever and I hope they can someday take away the pain and heartache I have now.
I love you Rusty dog, I love you always.
