How do I submit a listing to the Pet Directory?
To submit your business or shelter visit our Directory Submission Pages. You must be a registered user.

How much does it cost and what are the benefits?
Basic listings are free. For up to date information please visit our Directory Submission Pages.

What response should I expect from listing in your directory?
Obviously the response depends on the category and the ad itself. Most people telephone listed businesses while browsing our pages. Thus, true response is difficult to gauge. However, when you have added a business you can view the number of times a user has contacted you via PetPeoplesPlace.com and the number of clicks on your link. Approaching one million US citizens pass through our site every month - its up to you to decide if you can afford not to be seen!

How do I update my listing?
To update or change your listing please visit our Directory Submission Pages.

I have submitted a listing but I do not see it included yet. Why not?
Our directory is human-edited and every listing is approved prior to publishing. Therefore it usually takes around 48 hours for listings to be published. We do not guarantee a turnaround time for basic listings, but these are normally included in the same period.

Do you offer a free trial for Featured Listings?
We do not offer a free trial but you can cancel your next payment with ease if you are not satisfied with the response your listing is generating.

Do you accept submissions or payment by post?
Unfortunately this is not possible at this time. 

Why have I been billed again for my Featured Listing when I did not ask to be?
When you pay for a Recommended Listing, you are signing up for a recurring annual payment. We cannot stop this payment - you must contact PayPal if you do not want billing to recur 12 months after your first payment. 

What if I cancel my recurring payment for my Featured Listing?
If you cancel your recurring payment your business will be downgraded to a basic listing within 48 hours, regardless of how many months there are remaining from your first payment. If you want to pay for one year's subscription only and have 12 months of listing, you should cancel your recurring payment one week before it is due to recur. 

What are the requirements of a Basic Listing?
You may submit any number of free basic listings, however we will not display your website link until you integrate our link code into your website. (see our Directory Submission Pages).

How do I list my business in more than one state?
For paid submissions, one submission and payment must be made for every state.

How do I list my business in more than one category?
For paid submissions, one submission and payment must be made for every entry in each category.

What if I want to list my business in lots of states in one category?
Competitive rates are available for volume Featured Listings. Please Contact Us to discuss your requirements.

How do I remove my business from the directory?
To remove your listing please visit our Directory Submission Pages. You are responsible for stopping any outstanding recurring payments set up with PayPal for Featured Listings.

Why is my website not displayed on my listing?
Your website link will only be displayed when you incorporate the link code provided to you on the Directory Submissions pages. This is specific to each listing you own, and only when this link has been displayed within the previous 7 days to any point in time will your website link be displayed.

I have added a directory listing but I can not find it when I search PetPeoplesplace.com
You can check the status of your ad by checking your Account Pages. Search results are typically several days behind the actual content of our website and non-appearance in search results is not usually an indication that your ad is not yet live. Usually you can find your ad by browing the section categories even if your ad is not yet appearing in search results.

I have upgraded my listing to a Featured listing - why does it still appear in the Basic listing section?
After upgrading your listing will remain a basic listing until you have added the additional information required for Featured listings. To add additional information, simply visit the Directory Submissions pages.
